Jeweled Cheese Ball - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
1 c. pitted dates, chopped (optional)
1/2 c. sweet cream butter, softened
1 tsp. brandy
1/2 c. toasted almonds or pecans
Preparation

In 1 1/2-quart bowl, combine all ingredients except nuts. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well blended. Shape mixture into 1 large ball.
Roll in nuts.
Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
Remove 1/2 hour before serving.
