Chocolate Pecan Wafers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    3 oz. chocolate, melted
    3/4 c. flour
    3/4 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Combine shortening, salt and vanilla.
    Add sugar gradually and cream well.
    Add beaten eggs and mix.
    Add chocolate and blend. Add flour and nuts; mix well.
    Drop from teaspoon on well-greased baking sheet.
    Let stand a few minutes, then flatten cookies by stamping with a glass bottom covered with a damp cloth.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
