German Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco or 2 sticks butter
    2 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    1/4 lb. German chocolate, melted in 1/2 c. boiling water
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. baking soda in last of milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    4 stiffly beaten egg whites
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and Crisco or butter.
    Add egg yolks, 1 at a time.
    Add chocolate mixture.
    Add alternately flour, buttermilk soda, vanilla and salt.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Bake in 3 cake pans for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
