Strawberry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. fresh strawberries, sliced
    1 small pkg. strawberry Jell-O
    2 small pkg. instant vanilla pudding
    3 c. cold milk (use for pudding instead of amount on pkg.)
    1 c. sour cream
    1 large Cool Whip
    1 box vanilla wafers
Preparation
    Heat strawberries, sugar and Jell-O just enough to dissolve Jell-O, stirring constantly.
    Cool.
    Mix pudding and milk by directions on box.
    Add sour cream.
    Fold in 3/4 of Cool Whip.
    In a large dish (13 x 9-inch) layer wafers, pudding mix and strawberries.
    Repeat until all are used.
    Top with remaining Cool Whip.
    Garnish with sliced strawberries.
    Refrigerate.
    (If desired, bananas can be used instead of strawberries.)
