Pastry Mix * - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. fat or 2 c. lard
Preparation
    Sift flour and salt; blend in lard.
    Store in covered container in a cool place.
    Use 1 cup of mix for each crust.
    Add just enough water to hold dough together.
    For a very flaky crust, divide fat in half.
    Cut in the first half of fat until mixture is as fine as meal.
    Cut in the remaining fat until mixture is crumbled to the size of peas.
    This recipe makes 11 cups of mix.
