Perfect Icebox Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. unsifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco shortening
1 c. boiling water
1 c. cold water
2 eggs
2 cakes compressed yeast
1/4 c. lukewarm water (for the yeast)

Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add boiling water.
When cooled slightly, add cold water.
Add beaten eggs and yeast (dissolved in lukewarm water).
Add salt to flour and sift into liquid mixture. Mix well but do not knead.
Cover and place in refrigerator overnight.
Remove from refrigerator and on floured surface, shape into rolls (roll out and cut).
Put on cookie sheets and allow to rise for 2 hours.
Bake in 425\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and brush with butter.
