Grandma'S Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 1/4 lb. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. light corn syrup
1 (15 oz.) can Eagle Brand milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

In a saucepan, melt butter.
Stir in sugar and salt.
Then add corn syrup and mix well.
Add Eagle Brand milk, stirring constantly.
Continue stirring and cook to 245\u00b0.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Pour into a 9-inch buttered pan.
When cold, cut into squares and wrap.
Makes about 50 pieces.
