White Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. milk
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. corn syrup
    dash of salt
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Scald milk; stir in sugar, corn syrup and salt.
    Cook and gently stir to 236\u00b0.
    Remove from heat.
    Add butter and let cool to lukewarm.
    Add vanilla and beat until thick and not glossy. Add 1 cup broken nuts, if desired.
    Spread in buttered pan.
    Chill and cut into pieces.
