Rhubarb Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cooked rhubarb
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 c. sugar
    3 eggs, beaten
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon of the cornstarch into the cooked rhubarb, stirring constantly, over low heat.
    Mix remaining sugar, cornstarch, salt, milk and eggs in a double boiler. Cook until it is thickened. Stir in rhubarb mixture to this when both are cooled.
    Chill and serve.
    Makes 5 servings.
    Very good.
