Ingredients

1 c. persimmon pulp
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. sweet milk
Preparation

Press persimmons through sieve.
Mix ingredients in order given.
Pour mixture into a 1 1/2-quart greased top of double boiler.
Put cover on tight and steam for 2 hours without removing cover.
Serve warm with a spoonful of whipped topping.
