Savory Chicken Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. pork sausage
    1/4 c. butter
    1/3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    10 pkg. frozen peas and carrots
    13 oz. can chicken broth or 1 3/4 c. chicken broth
    2/3 c. milk
    2 c. cubed chicken
Preparation
    In a saucepan brown sausage and drain on paper towels.
    Pour off fat.
    In same pan, melt butter and blend in flour and salt. Cook until thickened.
    (I use more broth to make gravy thinner and more of it.)
    Add sausage, chicken and peas.
    Heat through.
    Pour into baking dish and top with pastry.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
