Green Tomato Pie - cooking recipe

pastry (for double crust)
5 medium green tomatoes, sliced or 3 1/2 c.
3/4 c. washed raisins
1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ginger
2 Tbsp. white bread crumbs
butter
Preparation

Wash and cut tomatoes into quarters and slice very thin.
Put into bowl and stir in raisins, lemon rind, juice, vinegar and salt.
Sprinkle bread crumbs on bottom of pie shell.
Mix sugar, flour and spices.
Add to tomatoes.
Pour into pie crust and dot with butter.
Lay on top crust and crimp edges.
Bake 50 minutes at 350\u00b0.
