Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. oil
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 1/2 lb. sirloin, cut in thin strips
    2 large green peppers, sliced
    4 green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
    2 large onions, sliced
    1/4 c. cold water
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. beef bouillon
    1 (6 oz.) can water chestnuts, sliced
    cooked rice
Preparation
    In hot oil, saute garlic, salt, ginger and pepper until garlic is golden.
    Add meat and brown for 2 minutes.
    Remove meat from pan.
    Add green peppers and onions; cook 3 minutes.
    Mix water with cornstarch and add to mixture.
    Return meat to the pan and add all remaining ingredients.
    Simmer until thick.
    Serve over hot rice.
    Serves 6.
