Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 eggs, beaten
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. plain flour
    1 c. butter
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. blackberry jam
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add well beaten eggs.
    Sift flour before measuring twice.
    Add all spices to flour. Dissolve soda in buttermilk; add to flour mixture.
    Put everything together, mixing well.
    Flour raisins and nuts; add to mixture and stir.
    Add jam; mix well with spoon.
    Put into 2 (9-inch) pans or Bundt pan; bake for 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Very good plain.
