Hash Brown Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (32 oz.) pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
    3/4 c. butter, melted
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
    1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
    1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    2 c. cornflakes, crushed
Preparation
    Combine potatoes, 1/2 cup butter, onion, soup, sour cream and cheese.
    Stir well.
    Pour into a greased 2 1/2-quart casserole. Toss crushed cereal with the remaining 1/4 cup butter.
    Sprinkle over potato mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
    Serves 10 to 12.
    Good for brunch, breakfast or dinner.
