Raisin Chews - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. seedless raisins
    1 c. walnuts
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 tsp. grated orange rind
Preparation
    Rinse, drain and dry raisins.
    Chop or grind chop walnuts. Beat eggs until foamy and gradually beat in sugar and vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and spices into first mixture. Blend in raisins, nuts and orange rind.
    Spread in well-greased and floured 8-inch square pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes until lightly crusted on top.
    Cut into squares while warm.
    Cool; remove from pan.
    Makes about 16 to 20 squares.
