Spiced Walnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 c. boiling water
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. walnut halves
Preparation
    In a saucepan, combine sugar, nutmeg, cream of tartar and boiling water. Cook to 246\u00b0 on candy thermometer. Add vanilla and walnut halves. Stir until nuts are completely covered. Turn onto greased cookie sheet. Separate with two forks while hot. Cool. Makes 3 cups.
