Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
5 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
2 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chopped pecans
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks, one at a time and beat well. Add butter, milk and soda.
Mix well. Add flour.
Mix well. Beat egg whites until stiff.
Mix well into your flour.
Mix mixture with a spoon, then pecans and coconut.
Heat oven to 350\u00b0. Bake 25 minutes. Makes four 8-inch layer cakes.
