Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 oz. vegetable oil
    3 oz. diced bacon
    3/4 c. diced carrots
    3/4 c. diced onions
    3/4 c. diced celery
    3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    3 1/2 qt. water
    1 c. lentils
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. seasoned salt
    2 bay leaves
    1 tsp. white thyme
    1/4 c. beef base
    pinch of nutmeg
    pinch of white pepper
    3/4 c. diced potatoes
Preparation
    In
    a
    large saucepan, saute the bacon, carrots, onions and celery in oil until the onion and celery are transparent. Add flour;
    stir constantly.
    Slowly add water.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer approximately 3 hours.
