Frosty Mandarin Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (11 oz.) mandarin orange sections
    2 (3 oz. each) pkg. gelatin
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. Jell-O (orange gelatin)
    2 c. boiling water
    1 pt. orange sherbet
Preparation
    Drain oranges, measuring syrup.
    Add water to syrup to make 1 cup.
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
    Add liquid.
    Add sherbet by spoonfuls, stirring until melted.
    Chill until thickened.
    Fold oranges, reserving a few to garnish.
    Chill until set, at least one hour.
