Caramel Icing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. sugar (white)
1 1/2 c. milk
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar, browned in iron skillet
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Boil milk and sugar, then add browned sugar to boiling mixture.
Add butter and flavoring.
Boil until soft ball stage when tested in cold water.
Let cool, then beat until of spreading consistency.
