Pasta And Creamed Prosciutto Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 oz. lean Prosciutto (whole piece)
    8 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 c. heavy cream
    3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
    pinch of grated nutmeg
    store bought or homemade fettucine or tagliatelle pasta (1 lb.)
Preparation
    Cut Prosciutto into cubes, smaller than 1/2 inch.
    Melt the butter in a large casserole over low heat.\tAdd Prosciutto and saute lightly for 1
    minute.
    At the same time bring a pot of cold water to a boil.
    Add salt and 1 teaspoon olive oil to water, then add pasta
    and cook to desired texture.
    Drain the pasta
    and
    add it\tto
    the
    casserole
    with
    the
    Prosciutto. Immediately pour the cream
    over
    the
    pasta
    and
    season with salt,
    pepper and nutmeg.
    Gently
    mix
    all
    the
    ingredients together,
    then add the
    cheese.
    Mix
    again;
    transfer
    to
    a warmed serving dish and serve immediately.\tServes 8.
