Drop Donuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 pt. sour cream
4 eggs
2 c. milk
6 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. salt
2 or 3 tsp. nutmeg
8 or 9 c. flour
Preparation

Mix the first 8 ingredients in a large bowl, then add 8 cups flour, half at a time.
Let dough stand for a few minutes to take up moisture.
If it is thick enough to spoon up and drop in grease you won't need extra flour.
If not, add flour (a little at a time) until it becomes thick.
Then drop by teaspoons into hot grease. Turn and cook as needed.
