Shanghai Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak, cut in thin strips
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/2 c. beef broth (equal to 1 can Campbell's beef broth)
    1 can sliced water chestnuts
    1 medium red or green pepper
    5 scallions, cut in 1-inch pieces
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/4 Tbsp. black pepper
    1 1/2 c. Minute rice
Preparation
    Saute
    beef
    in
    oil
    until browned.
    Add cornstarch and stir until
    blended.
    Stir
    in broth, chestnuts, pepper, scallions, soy sauce
    and black pepper.
    Bring to full boil, stirring frequently.
    Stir in rice.
    Cover and remove from heat for 5 minutes.
    Fluff with fork and make a hog of yourself.
