Pineapple Upside Down Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 stick margarine
1/2 c. brown sugar
4 pineapple slices or 8 1/2 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
1 pkg. Jiffy yellow cake mix
Preparation

Melt margarine in 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan or 9-inch layer pan. Sprinkle brown sugar over margarine.
Spread crushed pineapple over brown sugar mixture.
If using sliced pineapple, arrange over brown sugar mixture and place a half slice of maraschino cherry in center of pineapple slice.
Prepare cake mix as directed on package, except substitute pineapple juice for water.
Pour batter over pineapple mixture.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool cake 5 minutes before inverting over serving plate.
Let stand 1 minute before removing pan.
Serve warm.
