Sausage Scallopini - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. Italian sweet sausage
    2 cans peeled tomatoes, cut in small pieces
    2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 large can or 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, cut in small pieces
    2 large green peppers, cut in small pieces
    2 onions, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cut sausage in pieces about 4-inches long and fry or pan-broil until cooked.
    Saute onions and green peppers in oil.
    Do not overcook peppers. Add mushrooms, tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt and pepper. Simmer. Cut cooked sausage into bite size pieces and add to sauce.
    Cover and simmer about 1 1/2 hours.
