Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. diced red Delicious apples (skin on)
1/2 c. sugar
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained (save juice)
8 oz. whipped topping
1 Tbsp. flour
1 egg
2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 c. salted peanuts
Preparation

Mix the flour and sugar together well.
Beat the egg and add to the flour and sugar mixture.
Add the vinegar and pineapple juice.
Cook in a small pan on low heat.
Continue stirring until thick.
Cool.
When cool, pour over the apples, pineapple and peanuts.
Add the whipped topping and mix well.
Chill before serving.
May sprinkle chopped nuts on top as a garnish.
