Black Walnut Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dark corn syrup
    1 tsp. flour
    3 eggs, beaten
    1/8 tsp. salt
    chopped black walnuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sugar
    egg whites
    melted butter
    uncooked pie shell
Preparation
    Combine corn syrup, flour, 3 eggs, salt, vanilla and sugar; mix well.
    Pour into uncooked pie shell.
    Brush pie crust with white of egg.
    Pour butter over pie and cover with chopped black walnuts.
    Bake 40 minutes in a very slow oven at 250\u00b0.
