Chicken 'N Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    chicken gravy or chicken broth
Preparation
    Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
    Mix as you would biscuits.
    Spoon out and drop over chicken and gravy (dipping spoon in broth or gravy each time will make dough slide off each time).
    Cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
    Then put lid on tight and cook slowly 10 minutes. You will have light fluffy dumplings. Season to taste with salt, pepper and butter, if needed.
