Spinach Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients
-
1 medium onion
1 stick margarine
6 eggs
3 c. Pepperidge Farm stuffing
3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic salt
2 pkg. frozen and precooked spinach
Preparation
-
Preheat oven to Bake and 100\u00b0.
On a cutting board, peel and chop onion with a sharp knife.
Unwrap stick of margarine and melt over a medium-low heat in a small saucepan.
Break and beat eggs in a large mixing bowl.
To the eggs, add the chopped onion.
To the egg and onion mixture, add the melted margarine.
Measure and add stuffing, Parmesan, pepper and garlic salt and stir into the egg mixture.
Lastly, add spinach to the egg mixture.
Stir until the mixture is evenly mixed.
Two or three students in the unit will take enough of the mixture to roll the mixture into a 1-inch ball (the size of a quarter) and place them onto a jelly roll pan. Place the pan of appetizers on the middle rack of the oven and bake them for 15 to 20 minutes.
Remove the appetizers from the pan, place them on a plate and place them on the serving table.
