Texas Pecan Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pound butter
2 cups sugar
6 eggs, well beaten
1 Tbsp. lemon extract
4 cups sifted all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
4 cups pecan halves
2 cups white raisins
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs, mix well. gradually add flour that baking powder has been added to, mix well. Add lemon extract, nuts and raisins. Pour into a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake in 300\u00b0 oven for 1 1/2 hour to 2 hours. Cool 15 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool completely. Wrap and store for a few days before serving.
