Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg yolks
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. melted butter
    2 c. scalded milk
    1 1/4 c. coconut, divided
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    9-inch pie shell, baked
    3 egg whites
    6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks.
    Beat in sugar, salt, cornstarch and butter gradually.
    Pour in milk and blend.
    Cook over boiling water, stirring constantly, until thick.
    Add 1 cup coconut and cool. Add flavoring and nutmeg and pour into shell.
