Crisp Homemade Granola - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. quick oats
3/4 c. flaked coconut
3/4 c. chopped nuts
4 Tbsp. margarine
1/4 c. brown sugar (packed)
1/4 c. honey
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. wheat germ
Preparation

Heat oven to 300\u00b0.
Grease large jelly roll pan.
Spread oats, coconut and nuts on pan.
Toast in oven 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Melt butter.
Add sugar and honey to margarine. Heat until blended.
Stir in vanilla. Remove oat mixture from oven; sprinkle wheat germ over oats.
Stir with fork.
Increase oven temperature to 350\u00b0.
Drizzle sugar mixture over oats, stir until coated evenly.
Bake 5 minutes.
Stir with fork.
Press in pan with the bottom of a cup until firm and flat.
Bake 3 to 5 minutes longer.
Cool, break in pieces and store in airtight jar.
