Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 qt. sliced medium cucumbers
6 sliced medium white onions
2 green peppers
3 garlic cloves
1/3 c. canning salt
5 c. sugar
3 c. white vinegar
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation

Add onions, peppers and whole garlic to cucumbers.
Add salt; mix thoroughly and cover with crushed ice.
Mix and let stand 3 hours.
Drain well.
Combine remainder of ingredients; pour over cucumber mixture.
Heat to boil.
Put lids in hot water, seal and wipe off juice.
