Crisp Pickle Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. sliced cucumbers
    6 medium olives
    2 sweet peppers
    3 cloves garlic
    1/3 c. pickling salt
    5 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    3 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Do not peel cucumbers, just slice them.
    Add sliced onions, chopped peppers, garlic and salt.
    Cover with cracked ice; let stand 3 hours. Drain.
    Combine remaining ingredients and pour over cucumbers.
    Heat to boiling, put in jars and seal.
