Tomato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bread, cubed
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 tsp. butter flavoring
    1 qt. canned tomatoes or 4 c. fresh
    1 c. tomato juice or water
    1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Cut bread into cubes.
    Place in greased casserole dish.
    Melt butter or margarine and combine with butter flavoring.
    Pour over bread cubes.
    Mix until bread is coated.
    Combine remaining ingredients and simmer, stirring frequently, 6 to 8 minutes.
    Pour over buttered cubes.
    Bake in 375\u00b0 oven for about 45 minutes.
