Tamale Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1 can cream-style corn
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1/2 bell pepper, chopped
    2/3 c. corn meal
    1 can stewed tomatoes
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
Preparation
    Saute pepper and onion in cooking oil in heavy iron skillet. When soft, add ground meat and cook until done.
    Add seasonings; stir thoroughly.
    Add corn and tomatoes; heat mixture until hot, then add corn meal.
    Stir thoroughly.
    Pour into Pyrex baking dish and bake in preheated oven (350\u00b0) until brown, about 45 minutes.
