Tijuana Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (4 oz.) can green chili peppers, diced
    1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
    4 large flour tortillas
    1 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 1/2 c. sour cream
    1/2 c. grated cheese (for topping)
Preparation
    Brown ground beef and onion; drain.
    Add stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili peppers and taco seasoning mix.
    Simmer mixture for 10 to 15 minutes.
    In a 9 x 13-inch pan, place 1/2 of the meat.
    Cover with 2 tortillas and 1/2 of the pound of grated cheese.
    Continue with meat mixture, tortillas and cheese.
    Spread sour cream on the top of the casserole; sprinkle with 1/2 cup grated cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes, or until bubbly. Serves 8.
