Buttermilk Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    5 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3 tsp. baking powder
    enough buttermilk to make a soft dough
Preparation
    Sift together all dry ingredients.
    Cut in shortening until it resembles cornmeal.
    Add enough buttermilk to make a soft dough.
    Knead lightly 3 or 4 times.
    Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness on a floured board.
    Cut and place on biscuit sheet. Bake in a 450\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Yields 12 large biscuits.
