All-Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-bran
    4 Shredded Wheat
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. shortening
    3 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    5 c. flour
    5 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 qt. buttermilk
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over bran and wheat; set aside.
    In large bowl, cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Sift flour, soda, powder and salt; stir.
    Add bran and wheat to mixture.
    Mix well. Add dry mixture alternately with cream mixture and buttermilk. Mix well.
    Cover and store in the refrigerator.
    Keeps one month. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in a 400\u00b0 preheated oven in lightly greased pans.
