English Tea Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. raisins (optional)
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except raisins with pastry cutter until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Add raisins. Divide into 2 parts.
