Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks butter
    3 scant c. sugar
    3 c. unsifted plain flour
    5 large eggs
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 tsp. flavoring (coconut)
Preparation
    Leave butter and eggs out night before. Put milk out in the morning so it will be room temperature. Cream sugar and butter until creamy. Add 1 egg at a time. Divide milk and pour into three proportions for adding to mixture. Beat well. Add flavoring. Pour into 10-inch tube pan, well-greased and floured. Pour in cake batter and knock down so no bubbles will be in pan. Bake at 300\u00b0 for approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes. You can tell when the sides come loose from pan.
