Date Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box dates
    sugar
    1/2 c. cream
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. nuts
    1/2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. Karo syrup
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cream, water, butter and Karo syrup.
    Cook to soft boiling stage.
    Add dates; stir until dissolved.
    Cool a little. Beat until creamy, add nuts.
    Beat and pour out on damp cloth. Roll in damp cloth and refrigerate.
