Opera Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1/4 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. almond flavoring
Preparation
    Combine milk, sugar, corn syrup and salt in saucepan.
    Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
    Cook until a soft ball forms.
    Remove from heat.
    Add butter.
    Set aside until lukewarm. Add flavoring.
    Beat until thick and no longer glossy.
    Pour into buttered pan.
    Cool and cut into squares.
