Low-Fat Cherry Chip Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) box cherry Jell-O
    1 c. hot water
    3 egg whites
    1/3 c. water
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
    1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Mix cherry Jell-O with 1 cup boiling water; set aside.
    Mix egg whites, 1/3 cup water and drained pineapple (save juice).
    Mix with cherry chip cake mix and bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan (lightly greased) at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until done.
    Let cool and take a toothpick and punch holes all over the top; pour saved pineapple juice all over the top and let soak about 5 minutes.
    Cover with whipped topping and spread evenly the pie filling over whipped topping.
    Refrigerate and serve cold.
