Ingredients

4 large potatoes, peeled and quartered
3 tart apples, peeled and quartered
kosher salt to taste
sugar to taste
butter to taste

Preparation

Cook potatoes in salted water for 15 minutes; drain off most of the water and add the apples.
Cook until both are soft.
Put mixture into a bowl and mash with salt, sugar and butter.
