Polynesian Smoked Sausage With Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. cooked rice
    12 oz. smoked sausage
    1 large onion, sliced
    1 large green pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
    1 c. sliced celery
    1 can tomatoes
    1 c. beef broth
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced pineapple
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    While rice cooks, cover and cook sausage whole in 1/2 cup water for about 5 minutes.
    Remove and cut in thin slices.
