German Hot Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 bacon slices, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
    1 c. chopped onions
    3/4 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    5 to 6 c. cooked, sliced potatoes
Preparation
    In skillet, fry bacon until crispy.
    Pour off all but 1/4 cup of drippings.
    In drippings stir in onions, vinegar, sugar and pepper.
    Cook and stir over low heat until mixture simmers.
    Pour over potatoes and toss to combine.
    Garnish with crumbled bacon. Serves 6 to 8.
