Grandma'S Applesauce Cake(Not Your "Usual" Highly-Spiced Applesauce Cake.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or lard
1 qt. applesauce
3 to 4 c. flour
2 slightly rounded tsp. soda
1 c. raisins
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. heavy cream
5 to 6 marshmallows

Preparation

Boil to \"soft boil\" on candy thermometer.
Beat and frost cake.
