Squash Gems - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. mashed winter squash
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 egg
Preparation
    Beat well the egg.
    Add squash, milk, oil and sugar.
    Beat well to mix.
    Add flour, sifted with salt, baking soda and cream of tartar.
    Blend well.
    Turn into greased muffin pans.
    Bake in 400\u00b0 oven about 20 minutes.
    Makes 1 dozen.
